July 21st, 2002. Eric Byrnes of the Oakland Athletics attempts to take out Bill Haselman of the Texas Rangers at home plate. Byrnes was not able to dislodge the ball from Haselman’s glove and was called out.

A great photo of Yankees Captain Thurman Munson restraining Lou Piniella during a Yankees/Red Sox brawl which started with Sweet Lou slamming into Carlton Fisk. I could be wrong but I believe that is Bill Lee on the ground after Graig Nettles attacked him and therefore hurt the Spaceman’s shoulder. To see some GREAT footage of the brawl, click HERE. The Boston Bees were what the Boston Braves were known as from 1935 to 1940 before returning back to their previous name in 1941. Vince DiMaggio played for the Bees during the 1937 & 1938 seasons. During his 10 year career in the Major Leagues he also played for the Reds, Pirates, Phillies and Giants. He also spent time in the Pacific Coast League with the Hollywood Stars, San Diego Padres, San Francisco Seals and Oakland Oaks. Those DiMaggio boys were born to play Baseball.
