No other reason then the fact that Kirby Puckett was their Center fielder. I think every little boy from my generation loved Kirby. On June 16, 2007 Chris Young of the San Diego Padres and Derrek Lee of the Chicago Cubs took part in a nice little fight. I remember seeing them both in the National League dugout next to each other a month later during the All-Star game and they didn’t even acknowledge each other. Awkward.
