Pedro Martinez. Joe DiMaggio. Jim Thome. Bob Gibson. Curtis Granderson.
A twelve minute montage of all Pedro Martinez highlights. Is it weird that I watched this video twice in a row after discovering it?

If you have seen the amazing series by FSN entitled “Baseball’s Golden Age”, then you have witnessed the footage above in which Joe DiMaggio is wearing a Oakland Oaks uniform. I could be wrong, but I believe this can also be seen in the “When It Was A Game” series. In any case, this footage has had me curious for some time now due to the fact that DiMaggio never played for the Oaks or any other team in the PCL besides the Seals.
I assume that this footage is from after DiMaggio started his Major League career due to him wearing #5 because as far as I know, he wore #10 with the Seals. The only possible explanations that come to mind would be this footage being from a publicity stunt, photo-op, charity event, or an exhibition game of some sorts. Inquiring minds want to know.

July 17th, 2011. Jim Thome crushing homerun #596 against the Royals while teammate Delmon Young watches in amazement from the on-deck circle. This is easily my favorite Baseball related animated gif ever. To watch the actual video of this mammoth dinger, click HERE. Also, would someone please give Thome a job for the 2013 season??
.
1981. Bob Gibson during his time as a coach for the New York Mets. Seeing Gibson in another uniform other then the Cardinals is unsettling to say the least.

“Play Like Little League Today” – Curtis Granderson‘s cap. Also, Check out his “Don’t Think, Have Fun” message (HERE). There is seriously so much to like about this guy.
