Yogi, Tommy, Jackie & a Brave , Mickey, and The Babe.
A classic photo of Yogi Berra of the New York Yankees.
Tommy Lasorda of the Brooklyn Dodgers.
Jackie Robinson and Hank Aaron. Pure Class. (CORRECTION: This is NOT Hammerin’ Hank. Thanks to Chris Thurlow for noticing! I am not sure who the Brave is though?)
Incredible photo of Mickey Mantle of the Yankees hitting what I am going to assume is a homerun.
A very young Babe Ruth. Photo most likely taken in during his time of the then minor league Baltimore Orioles or in Boston.
Love the site! One comment on the Jackie Robinson photo with the Braves player. It isn’t Hank Aaron. He never played for the Boston Braves he joined the team after they moved to Milwaukee in 1953.
I believe the Babe Ruth photo is from his 1920 movie Heading Home.

I’m looking for photos of Hank Aaron prior to the time he was with the Milwaaukee Braves.
I would suggest doing a deep google image search or search eBay for prints.
The photo of the Boston Braves player with Jackie Robinson is Sam Jethroe, an excellent all round player who was considered one of the greatest if not the greatest ball player in the Negro Leagues in the later half of the 1940’s.
Nicknamed “The Jet”, Sam was a five-tool player who was the oldest man to win ROY when he played his first season in the MLB. Jethro was originally drafted by the Dodgers who became worried that they might start having too many black players so Jethro was traded to the Braves where he too dealt with a great deal of racism as the city of Boston’s first black player.
1) Yogi picture is probably from the 1960 WS in Pittsburgh judging from Yogi in away uniform and catcher’s pinstriping & stripes on sox look like what is listed for 1960 Pirates (http://exhibits.baseballhalloffame.org/dressed_to_the_nines/detail_page.asp?fileName=nl_1960_pittsburgh.gif&Entryid=965)
2) Mantle picture is awesome.. very vibrant colors with the unique looking flag banner. I believe picture is from the October 14th, 1964, 6th game of WS when Mantle hit an inning 6 homer to right field off of lefty Curt Simmons which is why Mantle is batting righty (http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/SLN/SLN196410140.shtml) Picture by Hy Peskin
3) As mentioned already, Babe Ruth picture is from the 1920 movie “Heading Home”. . hence why Babe’s face looks so white! About the movie and another similar picture can be found here.. http://www.threemoviebuffs.com/review/headin-home
