Great shot! Judging from the position of Willie’s head, it looks like he just laced a liner into the gap in right center. A single for many players, but the Polo Grounds had such a deep center field (483ft.) and power alleys (447ft. LC / 440ft. RC), he often turned these kind of shots into doubles (or triples) with his blazing speed. In fact, Willie Mays led the NL in triples in 1957 with 20! Say Trey! 😉
